Poker Theory 101: A Game of Skill, Disguised as a Game of Chance

Poker is all about making repeated great decisions and having the discipline and patience to allow those decisions to compound over time.  During this presentation I will walk you through some of poker’s most important theoretical constructs and teach you how professional players think.  This includes the process by which professional poker players gather information, develop and quantify assumptions, construct exploitative strategies, and implement those strategies through profitable decision making.  Through this discussion, my aim is to provide you with tools to help you make better decisions at the table as well as give you some ideas on how poker concepts can be incorporated into your own thinking and decision frameworks.
