The utopia we are after is “Advantageous Divergence” – finding ways to do things differently, yet correctly. This, in its purest form, is working smarter, not harder. These mental models are all about gaining Advantageous Divergence – by having a different (and correct!) set of tools than everyone else, you can succeed and prosper when others can’t. It is important to understand and honor the fact that reality doesn’t reward effort. It rewards utility and effectiveness.
